What stood out to us as a couple
Desire Riviera Maya feels more energetic and programme-led than a traditional naturist resort. We found that the holiday works best when both partners enjoy a social atmosphere but still give themselves permission to step back. The strongest reason to choose it is the combination of a full Caribbean resort and a clearly adult couple-focused setting.
Our practical advice is to treat the first day as orientation: understand the zones, agree a private check-in signal and decide together which evening events genuinely appeal. Nothing needs to be rushed and participation is never owed.
What the resort is really like
Desire Riviera Maya combines an all-inclusive Caribbean resort with a deliberately sensual, couples-only atmosphere. The operator describes au naturel pools and beach areas, daytime and evening entertainment, a Jacuzzi Lounge and a playroom. That makes it a lifestyle resort rather than a traditional naturist property.
You can be sociable without participating in anything sexual. Consent remains individual and ongoing. A good trip starts with both partners agreeing what they want before arrival—not assuming the resort will decide for them.
Clothing, privacy and behaviour rules
- Au naturel relaxation is allowed in the pool, beach, Jacuzzi Lounge and playroom.
- Clothing is required in restaurants, the disco and other public spaces.
