Why we created My-Travel

We are a married UK couple and we are both part of the swinging lifestyle and the naturist community. We created My-Travel because much of the information available to newcomers can feel vague, overly explicit or mainly concerned with selling something.

We wanted to build the kind of calm, honest resource we would have appreciated when we first became curious. Our guides combine personal experience with careful research, while recognising that every couple, venue and situation is different.

Our experience informs general guidance about common nerves, communication, boundaries, etiquette, preparation and taking time to reflect afterwards. Where a resort appears in one of our personal rankings, we have visited it together; other club, cruise, event and destination coverage is clearly identified as researched guidance.

When a point comes from our own experience, we say so. Travel information is based on research or information from the relevant venue or operator, while medical, legal and privacy guidance is attributed to authoritative sources.

Swinging and naturism are distinct. Some settings or audiences may overlap, but the activities, expectations and rules should not be treated as interchangeable.

My-Travel is an independent travel-information website. It is not an event organiser, dating service, club, medical authority, legal adviser or relationship counselling service.

How we research our guides

We begin with official resort, cruise line, venue and tour-operator information. We then cross-check important details such as dress codes, guest requirements, accommodation type, dates and what is actually included. Because policies and prices change, readers should always confirm the final details with the operator before booking.

We aim to label adults-only, naturist, clothing-optional and lifestyle-friendly holidays accurately. An adults-only hotel is not automatically naturist or lifestyle-friendly, and a clothing-optional property is not automatically a swingers resort.

We favour useful detail over hype. Where something is uncertain, subjective or based on third-party reports, we make that clear rather than presenting it as fact.
