Temptation Cancun Review: Andy & Anita’s First-Hand Guide

VISITED BY ANDY & ANITA · FACTS RECHECKED 13 AUGUST 2026

Temptation Cancun review: our first-hand couples guide

Our honest guide to Temptation Cancun’s party atmosphere, top-optional areas and the crucial differences from Desire, Hedonism and naturist resorts.

Our verdict

Best for: adults aged 21 or over who want a lively all-inclusive party hotel with top-optional areas and themed entertainment.

Temptation is fun when you choose it for what it actually is: a high-energy adults-only party resort. We include it in lifestyle-friendly comparisons, but we do not call it a swingers resort or a clothing-optional resort.

Our classification: adults-only, top-optional party resort; singles are allowed; not clothing-optional and not officially a swingers resort.

Temptation Cancun Resort at a glance

  • Location: Cancún Hotel Zone, Mexico
  • Minimum age: 21
  • Guest rule: Couples and singles are accepted
  • Scale: 428 rooms and suites according to the operator
  • Top-optional zones: Main pool, Quiet Pool and beach
  • Full nudity: The resort explicitly says it is not clothing-optional

What stood out to us as a couple

For us, Temptation felt much more like an energetic adult party hotel than Desire or Hedonism. The music, pool activity and evening programme are central, while full nudity and public lifestyle activity are not the concept.

It can suit a couple who wants flirtatious fun without committing to a couples-only lifestyle resort. The distinction should be understood before booking, especially if either person expects full naturism.

Clothing, privacy and behaviour

  • Toplessness is optional, not compulsory, in designated pool and beach areas.
  • The resort is not clothing-optional.
  • Appropriate clothing is required in restaurants and the lobby.
  • Avoid photos and video around the main pool and specified theme nights.
  • Sexual activity is not permitted in public areas and “no” means “no”.

Always check the current operator rules before travelling. Respect, consent and other guests’ privacy matter more than any promotional description.

Who will enjoy it?

A strong match

  • Couples and singles who enjoy energetic parties
  • Adults who want top-optional freedom
  • Guests who enjoy DJs and theme nights
  • Travellers wanting an all-inclusive Cancun stay

Think carefully if…

  • You want full naturism
  • You need a quiet boutique hotel
  • You expect a couples-only property
  • You are specifically seeking an official swingers resort

Our couple-to-couple checklist

  1. Agree what kind of atmosphere you both want before paying.
  2. Read the current clothing and photography rules together.
  3. Check the exact room, board basis, transfers and cancellation terms.
  4. Discuss boundaries and how either partner can pause without pressure.
  5. Pack suitable indoor clothing, sun protection and sitting towels where required.
